Robert F. Johnston
Robert F. Johnston founded Johnston Associates in 1968, a venture capital firm with emphasis on the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. In the mid-1970s, he founded a number of biotechnology and healthcare companies, including Cytogen, Ecogen, Sepracor, i-STAT, Envirogen and Praelux (formerly SEQ). Robert was also instrumental in the early formations of Sonomed, Biocyte, Immunicon and VelaPharm. Prior to founding Johnston Associates, he was an investment banker for F.S. Smithers & Co. and for Smith Barney & Co. in New York.
Robert received a B.A. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from New York University.
